of cheese, hot dog sausage or liver-cake are usually popular! All treats should
be SMALL - no larger than a small garden pea.
Collar & Lead: Please bring your dog to class on an ordinary collar and/or
harness and lead.
- choke and slip collars of any kind are NOT PERMITTED in APDT members’ classes
- chain leads can be UNCOMFORTABLE to hold and are UNPLEASANT around your dog's head
- flexi leads are not suitable for class
- Please ensure your dog has the legally required ID tag on their collar or harness
Children: All family members are welcome in the class including children
over 5 years of age, as long as they are able to sit quietly if asked. At no time
should children approach any dog other than their own, unless specifically given
permission to do so by the trainer.
Clothing & Footwear: Please wear comfortable, flexible clothing and flat,
soft-soled shoes. Please also bring with you a mat or rug for your dog to lie on,
and also a rug or cushion for you to sit on for when we are training the dogs to
settle, and get used to being handled and groomed. We always have a ‘quiet’ time
at the end of class for this purpose.
Toileting: Don't forget your poo bags! Please be a responsible dog owner
and pick up after your dog at all times.
