dog GreyD

We decided to get some one to one training for GreyD, our 10 week old greyhound whippet cross puppy.

Lucy came to our rescue!

She was absolutely fantastic with our little boy with her positive and calm approach to training.

We booked an 8 week course which gave us 6 weeks of Lucy visiting us in our home giving one to one training and then the last 2 sessions were done in our local park.

The training itself was brilliant and it was so great to see GreyD responding and learning more and more week by week.

We were also given homework as part of the course which in turn helped us get to know and understand our puppy.

Lucy bases her training around treat rewards and lots of fuss and praise which is great and GreyD loved his sessions and looked forward to seeing Lucy and her big bag of toys and treats!

I would thoroughly recommend Lucy to anyone who wants some help or training as she has a genuine love and understanding of our furry loved ones.

Why have one to one private lessons? Introducing a new puppy
  • Your lifestyle is too busy and you can’t get to group classes with fixed times during the day or evening?
  • Prefer the individualised training one to one can offer?
  • Do you have a dog who finds a class environment too stressful or scary, and who reacts by becoming fearful and/or aggressive towards the other dogs or owners?
One to one training sessions are tailored to your wishes and needs. Training takes place in your own home (or at a suitable nearby location), at times to suit you.

Introducing a new puppy 2 The most common reasons I am asked to do one to one training include the following:
  • Not coming back when called
  • Pulling while on lead
  • Lack of basic obedience
  • Problems at home such as chewing, barking, not settling down
  • Attention seeking behaviour such as jumping up, stealing items etc.
  • Doggy mayhem when visitors arrive
Introducing a new puppy 3Contact me for a free discussion on what your needs are.

Following that I can ascertain whether a single session may be all you need, or a series of sessions.

The first session usually takes one and a half hours; follow up sessions last for one hour. Please email or telephone me to arrange an informal chat about one to one training sessions.
