Basic Obedience Course
A six week course for adolescent or adult dogs who have had no or little previous
obedience training. Basic skills such as polite greetings, sit, down, stay, come
when called and walk nicely on the lead are covered, as well as dealing with some
of the common problems such as jumping up at people. This course can also be very
useful as a progression for adolescent dogs that have completed the puppy course.
This course is NOT suitable for dogs that have any fear or aggression issues, or
are too overexcited, noisy or uncontrollable to cope with a class such as this.
If you have a dog like this they would need to be seen on a one to one basis to
start off with.
Classes are limited to six dogs only, giving plenty of opportunity to work and have
individual attention from the trainer.
This course take place on a Friday evening at 7.15pm. Each class lasts for one hour.
A maximum of six dogs are enrolled onto each course, which allows plenty of opportunity
for individual attention from the trainer.
This course is suitable for dogs over the age of 26 weeks old at the start of the
course. All dogs must be fully vaccinated.
You are welcome to come along and watch a class without your dog before booking
your place. However please contact me to arrange this, to ensure I know who is coming
and that there is actually a class running on the day of your visit.
The cost of this course is £80 and includes the Association of Pet Dog Trainers
Good Companion Foundation Assessment and Award.
Courses must be booked and paid for in advance. Please check availability and book
a place using the
How To Book? page.
